George W Bush successfully derailed the commercial development of alternative fuels by passing legislation?
that limited subsidies to ethanol that was derived from corn. Now people seem to have linked all bio-fuels with the fuel supply. Even fuels that do not use any component from the food supply -such as Honeywell’s new jet fuel derived from wild flax seeds or methane re-uptake devices are accused of “taking food out of people’s mouths”.
What do you think would be the best strategy to overcome this mental association that was created by Republican energy policies?
B Question: Does anyone else find it a little bit funny that regarding methane re-uptake – people would accuse methane capture devices of taking “food out of people’s mouths” when methane capture actually takes the stuff that comes out of your other end.
Pfo – Ethanol is only one option, and a bad one at that. There are many other sources of alternative fuel out there.
I’d like to see that device that captures the re-uptake methane that comes out the other end. Would it be like the cow-catchers of old? My imagination runs wild.
