ALTERNATIVE ENERGY CARS ETHANOL
Do biofuels produce as much CO2 as ordinary fuels?

Fuels such as sugar cane and vegetable oils – when they combust is as much CO2 produced?
And what are the disadvantages to the environment from the use of electric cars?
I know about wind, solar, hydro and wave power but can anyone tell me about any other forms of alternative energy?
Also, if plastic goods were made from sugar cane by dehydrating ethanol, would the end product biodegrade faster than plastic made from finite fuels?
Thanks for listening:)

Biofuels, when burned, simply release CO2 into the air that plants extracted a short time ago, via the natural “carbon cycle”. Google that phrase. Putting it back is no big deal.

Fossil fuels contain carbon that the natural cycle buried over thousands of years. We dig it up, and burn it, very fast. That’s a big deal, the natural cycle can’t deal with it fully, and CO2 levels rise sharply.
