Why do people think that oil company’s would go out of business if we used alternative sources of energy?
Oil is used to make ton’s of other products! Not just gasoline!
Asphalt
Diesel fuel
Fuel oils
Gasoline
Kerosene
Liquid petroleum gas (LPG)
Lubricating oils
Paraffin wax
Tar
(these are all made from crude oil)
They wouldn’t go out of business…the lost revenue would be placed upon manufacturers of those other products.
So the other products as well would go up in price.
And the makers of those products would raise their prices and of course the consumer would end up with the bill….as usual.
