ALTERNATIVE ENERGY ENGINEERING DEGREE
Can I get into an engineering graduate program with a B.S. in Electronics Engineering Technolo?

I am currently working on a BSEET (in the U.S.) with a focus on alternative energies and have some work experience in photovoltaics. Will engineering graduate programs accept me with a B.S. or would I have to get a B.S.E. ? Specifically, I would like to do a research degree at a university in the U.K.

You may have an easier time getting into a UK university than a U.S. one. They use slightly different terminology in the UK and it is more likely to slip through the cracks.

In the U.S. you may be accepted, but will have to take a lot of remedial courses. Generally the BSEET is a lot less mathematically in-depth than a BSEE. I wouldn’t count on getting accepted as a funded student without a lot more background. You may want to look at the curriculum and syllabi of a local BSEE program and just take the classes where you are lacking. A graduate program cares that you have a B.S. degree, and that you have the required background. The fact that you didn’t jump through the hoops to get another piece of paper probably won’t bother anybody.
