Why are Republicans so dead set on funding terrorists by opposing alternative energy?

There is no such thing as energy independence in an oil hungry, free market economy. No matter what, oil will always be cheaper to produce in the Middle East and only the gap between what is produced, the demand and OPEC’s price will cause any sort of “domestic” production.
Seriously, where do you guys get your information from?

Tell ya what, when you get an alternative energy that works as well as conventional energy sources and is ready to go, let us know, and we’ll get on board.

Till then, it’s just imaginary.
