others with depression, living with it for years..????
i was abused up till 11 yrs old and had anger problems when i was 13-5. ever since ive been depressed (im 18) and know how to live with it. ive survived the worst parts with therapy and meds, etc. but some things are still out of my control. i have no friends, have zero interest in hobbies, when i go do things to lift me up a bit i usually wind up confused as to how some ppl enjoy these sort of things. i exersize and eat moderately now. my family wants little to do with me. sometimes a sound or image will trigger intense emotion after not feeling anything for days. i dont react to it. ive switched jobs twice and cant work unless im on meds. i think i drove my boyfriend crazy after breaking up with him, which was unexpected. i have a long term project im working on. getting permits to build home and equip with alternative energy. also a satire sense of humor.
It sounds like you’re trying to do too much at a time.
I have depression and I’ve learned that I have to take one day at a time. Sometimes one hour at a time.
I know its easy to say but hard to do, but you need to find a way to put the past away. In a place where it’s not in your everyday life.
Therapy is very helpful and it sounds like your searching for help because your asking questions here . . . and that’s good.
Really, take one day at a time. Take one problem at a time. If you try to take too much at once, you’ll get overwhelmed and frustrated, and that’s NOT what you want to do to yourself.
Maybe getting on some meds will help but make sure to take them on a regular basis, because they have to build up in your system to work.
