is there an alternative to an reg oven and do they wast alot of energy?
Its been bothering me like when mom uses it to bake things that dont take alot of space when other days the food takes up the whole space. Also the oven heats the friking house specialy in the sumer. i dont think a toaster oven could be used for regular baking like home bread and cake and stuff but what can someone use that wont wast power, space and cold.
I do use a toaster oven if I can get what I need to fit inside of it. I can even take the toaster oven outside during hot weather. For baked meats forget them in the summer they are going on the grill. In fact 90% of our cooking is done by grill or microwave during the summer.
Ovens use lots of power. Figure about 1500 Watt hours per hour used. If you air condition your home you will use four times that just to suck the heat out.
Ground source heat pump, renewable energy
