the Global Climate Coalition represents industries with profits tied to fossil fuels.  This would include the petroleum industry and the coal industry.  A document filed in a federal lawsuit shows that this coalition named to appear climate friendly was misrepresenting its own scientists.  “The scientific basis for the Greenhouse A fact and the potential impact of human emissions of greenhouse gases such as CO2 on climate is well-established and cannot be denied” . This was written by the experts and scientists in an internal report compiled for the coalition in 1995… stick that in your pipe and smoke it Mr. Limbaugh!

The coalition’s advisory committee, led by Leonard S. Bernstein, a climate expert at the Mobil Corp. at that time rejected the idea that mounting evidence showed human activities were warming climate.

This reminds me of the type of deception that we saw from the tobacco industry, perhaps we should seek a lawsuit suing the fossil fuel industry for misrepresenting what their own scientists told them at the expense of all of us.

Don’t forget that these are the same companies that run commercials telling you how green they are, how much they’re doing to save the climate while at the same time their lobbyists are using all kinds of tactics to prevent the type of tax credits and the funding for programs that promote alternative energy.  At the same time they’re fighting for tax credits into radically limit their responsibility for environmental degradation.
