Where do you think i can find a place like this (see link)?

The Google logo just looks so nice. Where do you think i could find a place like this? And if worse comes to worst, i could probably build that place myself, right?
I dont have money now, but i mean when im older of course, and i’d make the house so it’d run on clean energy only – probably solar energy.
If I wanted to retire in a place of natural beauty like that, I would probably buy property just outside of Rio de Janeiro perhaps near Recreio. The region has incredible natural beauty but the economy is such that labour is inexpensive and your retirement money will go far. You can purchase an island with a mansion and several support buildings there for about 1.5 million US or a modern beachfront condo in a small town for 60,000 to 90,000 dollars. There is a 100% importation tax on things like computers and cars so you’ll have to buy Brazilian made products which isn’t too bad as a lot of manufacturing has relocated to Brazil. You do want to be careful as there are some serious social issues involving poverty and drugs but overall the people are friendly and the living is good.
It’s no wonder that most of the apartments along the beachfront of Copacabana and Ipanema belong to people like Mick Jagger. Mick Jagger tends to give free concerts on Copacabana beach when he’s in town to visit his son.
Another location that I would consider would be the Canadian Rockies because I grew up there and have no qualms of drinking water from an alpine spring or glacial lake there while on a hike. The beauty, silence and serenity of a fresh snow fall is something that you have to experience.
Building a self-sustaining eco friendly retirement home seems to be a common and difficult to achieve dream. I wonder if people would organize into collectives to build such a place as a community, would people invest in a fund to do so?
