Shouldn’t we wait to have enough alternative clean sources of energy before placing Cap N Trade?
And shouldn’t the government provide guidelines as to how Businesses can also save on energy without cutting back on production, losing profit or cutting losses?
Because otherwise wouldn’t Cap N Trade just become extra tax burden on Businesses? How do they figure it will cut back on carbon emissions?
You are not quite right. We should not have cap and trade at all. The only thing it will do is make a few people who sell carbon offset credits very rich while for the rest of us the cost of living goes up and our standard of living goes down. When did it become the government’s place to artificially raise prices on energy. Our quality of life has been possible because of cheap energy but the government control freaks don’t seem to care. Do your duty to help all Americans and contact your senators to encourage them to vote against cap and trade. Also contact your congressman and tell him how you feel about the way he voted on this issue. Then, beginning with the primaries next year let’s vote every incumbent out of office. A new inexperienced congress and senate couldn’t screw things up any worse than the morons who are there now.
