Need ideas to fight sleepiness brought on by mono… help? zzzzzzzzzz?

I contracted mono in July, but even now I’ve been extra sleepy. Even energy drinks and caffeine failed to bring me to my usual wits. I require about 12 hours rest some days just to function, but realistically I can only afford 7-8 hours a sleep daily due to my demanding schedule. Vitamins did no good as well. What other alternatives could I look into trying?
No actually exercise has made me more tired, really. I do it three times a week and those are the days I sleep the most.
Hmmm… Protein. I may give that a shot. Time to hit the peanut butter aisle!

The only thing that helped me when I had mono was running or biking, I know it sounds ridiculous when you have no energy, but it really does work. Also, make sure you are eating a healthy and nutrient rich diet with lots of proteins. Limit your sugar intake, because it will leave you drained after the initial energy spike.
