what is the best energy source that we should invest in rather than burning coal?
green-house producing sources like coal, although we have centuries of coal reserves, will place our future at very high stakes in aiding in global warming.
What is the best alternative to energy production that will be abundant and sufficient enough to prevent global warming?
Nuclear, though these days, that is considered to be politically incorrect. Nuclear still has some problems, like spent fuel, to resolve, however, in the long run, it is dependable 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, unlike solar or wind which vary from day to day and even on time of day. A case on point is France. France generates over 85% of their electrical power from nuclear power plants.
