Botany help for fruit and germination!?
Please Answer these questions and give me a source if you can.
a) which kinds of placentation would produce single-seeded fruits? which kinds would produce multi-seeded fruits?
b)which pollination vector is more like correspond to separate male and female flowers and even plants?
c) why would many fruits be green when immature and turn yellow, orange or red when ripe?
d) which parts of a seed contribute to the storage of energy needed by the embryo plant?
e) how does the size of a seed correspond to its optimal depth of planting?
f) does the mode of carriage correspond to the amount of stored energy in a seed and/or seed coat characteristics?
d) In dicotyledons it is starch stored in the seed leaves (cotyledons). In monocotyledons it is stored in the endosperm.
e)Seeds are sown to twice the depth of the seed. Seeds smaller than 1mm are sown on the surface
