On average what is the utility bill for a 1BR apartment in Rochester, NY?
I would be paying for all utilities, but I have no idea how much they cost. Would be a lower apartment in a 3-apartment building.
I called RG&E but they had spotty information on file for this location. Their 12-mo average was $62/mo ($9 Elec/$53Gas) which seems low and the past 3 month average was $159/month which seems high.
Assume Gas heat and HW? Elec stove?
Only 1 person should be living here. I’m very energy conscious. Shut off lights when not in use. Not super-long showers. No AC in summer, only a fan. 1-2 computers used after work.
Any information would be useful. Thanks!
Personally, if I don’t use the AC too much during the summer, my utilities total to around $50 – $70 a month.
During the winter I think I may use my heat too much and my utilities are around $150 – $200 a month.
